What the role is?
- Plan, design, drive and roll out impactful leader development programs that align directly with business objectives and drive agency growth.
- Set clear performance objectives, provide regular coaching and feedback, and manage the professional development of junior team members.
- Collaborate effectively with the leaders of the New Life Planner, Leader, and Training Admin teams to ensure seamless integration and support across the department.
- Support team lead to develop junior trainers within the team, fostering a culture of innovation and project ownership.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of integrated training and motivation programs (like NEXTGen) that drive recruitment, promotion, and productivity.
- Monitor training effectiveness through tangible KPIs (MDRT, recruitment, promotion) and adjust strategies to maximize ROI.
- Act as one of the primary liaison to ensure training initiatives solve real-time business challenges.
- Act as one of the training lead for all new product launches, partnering with product development and marketing teams to ensure the sales force is proficient and market-ready.
- Conduct ongoing training to ensure the entire agency force maintains a deep and current understanding of our full product suite and its competitive positioning.
- Serve as one of the department's primary gatekeeper for compliance, ensuring all training content and delivery methods strictly adhere to industry regulations and internal company policies.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a training and development role within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Professional certifications such as FLMI, CFP, FChFP.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams and designing training programs that have led to measurable improvements in sales productivity and performance.
- In-depth knowledge of the life insurance sales cycle, financial products, and the regulatory landscape in Hong Kong.
- Proven expertise in developing and delivering curriculum for Agency Leader Training.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain cohesive working relationships with stakeholders
- Strong in verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
