About the role

 

The Data Privacy Subject Matter Expert will collaborate with all relevant functions to ensure all applicable regulatory requirements are fulfilled, the data privacy governance and management framework is complied, and adequate and effective data privacy controls are in place.

 

 

What the role is? 

 

  • Design, oversee and improve data privacy governance to ensure privacy risks are properly identified, assessed, and managed
  • Design and implement a robust data privacy management programme
  • Provide advice and guidance to senior management and all key stakeholders on key regulatory developments and all business initiatives / projects independently to ensure compliance with those developments
  • Conduct or review data privacy risk assessment to ensure privacy risks are sufficiently addressed
  • Support reporting and management of data privacy incidents
  • Promote privacy awareness across the company
  • Prepare, and co-ordinate compliance risk update with relevant party to ensure senior management and relevant committee are informed of the latest insights.
  • Act as the primary compliance representative for all projects relating to our group ecosystem
  • Provide support on ad-hoc projects and tasks as or when required

 

 What the role is? 

  • Degree holder, preferably in the disciplines of Business / Accounting / Law
  • 8- 10 years’ experience in handling privacy compliance matters, preferably gained from an insurance company
  • Solid knowledge and experience with Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance is a must, and that with Personal Information Protection Law is a plus.
  • Responsible, proactive with attention to details and be able to work independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with different counterparts
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
