What the role is?

Lead and manage a team supporting the Core Life System (eBao) for Bermuda business BAU and projects

Act as the key bridge between business users, IT teams, and external vendors

Drive system development, enhancement, and ongoing production support

Oversee quality assurance, UAT planning, testing, and formal sign‑off activities

Ensure compliance with IT governance, change management, and delivery standards

Plan resources, estimate effort, and manage timelines for BAU and project work
-
Monitor system performance, stability, and service KPIs

Maintain high‑quality technical and project documentationApply strong life insurance domain knowledge to support operations and transformation initiatives
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree or above in IT or a related discipline
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager
- Strong experience in life insurance systems and operations
- Hands‑on experience with eBao core system is highly preferred
- Solid background in system support, development, and IT operations
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and multi‑tasking skills
- Proven ability to manage vendors and external partners
- Self‑motivated, with strong prioritization and delivery focus
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
Technical skills required but not limited to:
- Operating Systems: Unix, Linux, Windows
- Application Development: Java, Visual Basic.NET, Visual C#.NET, Shell script, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Struts, SOAP, Restful Web Services, MuleSoft, JSON, jQuery
- Database Development: Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Plus, SQL Server SQL Programming and SSIS, MySQL
- Reporting & BI: Jasper Report/iReport, Crystal Report, Fine Report, Qlik Sense
- Printing: SIP, Quadient/GMC
- Knowledge in Weblogic, Sharepoint (Power automate) and Control-M is an advantage
