System Analyst - eBao core system (Manager level)

What the role is?

 

  • Lead and manage a team supporting the Core Life System (eBao) for Bermuda business BAU and projects
  • Act as the key bridge between business users, IT teams, and external vendors
  • Drive system development, enhancement, and ongoing production support
  • Oversee quality assurance, UAT planning, testing, and formal sign‑off activities
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, change management, and delivery standards
  • Plan resources, estimate effort, and manage timelines for BAU and project work
  • Monitor system performance, stability, and service KPIs
  • Maintain high‑quality technical and project documentationApply strong life insurance domain knowledge to support operations and transformation initiatives

 

What are we looking for?   

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in IT or a related discipline
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager
  • Strong experience in life insurance systems and operations
  • Hands‑on experience with eBao core system is highly preferred
  • Solid background in system support, development, and IT operations
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and multi‑tasking skills
  • Proven ability to manage vendors and external partners
  • Self‑motivated, with strong prioritization and delivery focus
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)

 

Technical skills required but not limited to:

  • Operating Systems: Unix, Linux, Windows
  • Application Development: Java, Visual Basic.NET, Visual C#.NET, Shell script, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Struts, SOAP, Restful Web Services, MuleSoft, JSON, jQuery
  • Database Development: Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Plus, SQL Server SQL Programming and SSIS, MySQL
  • Reporting & BI: Jasper Report/iReport, Crystal Report, Fine Report, Qlik Sense
  • Printing: SIP, Quadient/GMC
  • Knowledge in Weblogic, Sharepoint (Power automate) and Control-M is an advantage
