About the role

• Perform underwriting assessment on both medical/non-medical cases within approval limits to ensure the underwriting decision complied with company’s rules & guidelines
• Provide quality services and support to internal and external customers
• Apply strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in risk assessment
• Support underwriting training and knowledge sharing 
• Maintain agreed turnaround time (TAT) and service standards

What the role is?

• Perform underwriting assessment on both medical/non-medical cases within approval limits to ensure the underwriting decision complied with company’s rules & guidelines.
• Handling re-underwriting cases; Experienced in escalations and case referrals is preferred
• Handle underwriting enquiries from distribution channels and internal stakeholders
• Ensure service delivery within the team’s turnaround time (TAT) standards
• Provide training to junior underwriters
• Provide services distribution channels

What we look for?

• Minimum 10 years of underwriting experience in the life insurance industry
• Self-motivated, independent, and able to work under pressure
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, compliance requirements & good underwriting skills
• Good analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
