What the role is?
This is a pivotal role in strengthening the internal audit function. You will lead and execute complex audits, foster strong relationships with senior stakeholders, and deliver insightful, actionable recommendations to enhance the organization's control environment and governance practices.
- Lead and manage assigned audit engagements from planning through execution. Ensure timely completion in line with internal audit standards and with insightful audit reports for senior management and the Audit Committee, highlighting critical issues, root causes, and practical recommendations.
- Monitor and validate the implementation of agreed management actions to address audit findings, ensuring risks are effectively mitigated.
- Assist in the preparation of regular internal audit reporting packages that provide an overview of audit activities and outcomes.
- Support in conducting risk assessments, contribute to the development of a risk-based annual audit plan aligned with the Company’s risk profile.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across all lines of the Company to align the Company’s risk priorities, promote control awareness and act as a trusted advisor on control matters.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the audit function, including refining the audit manual and methodology to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide support on ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
What we look for ?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent disciplines.
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
- CIA, FRM, or CAMS are preferred.
- 5–8 years of progressive audit experience, including roles in audit control, risk management, or compliance and/or advisory.
- Prior experience gained at insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
- Solid understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices including IFRS 17, Risk-Based Capital.
- Familiarity with investment, asset and liability management, AML, and product pricing is advantageous.
- Team player, strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of data analytics or AI tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
- Candidate with much relevant experience will be considered for Senior Manager role.
