About the role

  • To oversee and manage the functional area to ensure high-quality service delivery, operational excellence, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards
  • The role is responsible for achieving business targets, optimizing processes, strengthening risk controls, and developing team capabilities to support the organization’s overall goals
  • Develop and maintain engagement with the BPO underwriting team
  • Organize and lead underwriting training for the team

What the role is?

  • Lead and manage the team to achieve departmental objectives, ensuring productivity, efficiency, accuracy and service quality
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure delivery within defined service standards (e.g. TAT, accuracy, compliance)
  • Review and approve key decisions within delegated authority, ensuring alignment with company policies and guidelines
  • Drive process improvement and transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. distribution, compliance, operations, IT) to support business needs
  • Provide coaching, training, and development to team members to build capability and succession pipeline
  • Handle escalations and complex cases, providing guidance and resolution
  • Support management reporting, audit requirements, and governance activities

 

What we look for?

  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in insurance / Operations / Underwriting / New Business
  • Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role with team management responsibility
  • Strong track record in operational management, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience in managing cross-functional projects
  • Strong leadership in building high-performing teams
