What the role is?
In this role, you will play a key role in leading end-to-end project implementation for new product launches and strategic business initiatives, working closely with internal stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, consultants and cross-functional users to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for business initiatives under Product Development, from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, launch and post-implementation review.
- Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, manage scope, resources, timelines and budgets, and ensure adherence to project governance and procedures.
- Act as Project Manager / Business Analyst Lead, partnering with business analysts, IT, vendors, external consultants and cross-functional department users to deliver practical and business-aligned solutions.
- Define project scope, business requirements and feasible solutions in line with management expectations and business priorities.
- Perform project assessments and feasibility studies, identify issues and risks, recommend mitigation actions and prepare options for management decision-making.
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior business analysts and support capability building within the team.
- Prepare clear project status updates, reports and presentation materials for stakeholders and senior management.
- Manage multiple projects of varying scale and complexity concurrently while maintaining strong delivery discipline and quality standards.
Who we look for?
- University degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably gained within the life insurance industry.
- Sound knowledge of insurance product features, operational flows and business processes.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, as well as the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Detail-minded, well-organised and able to manage priorities independently in a dynamic project environment.
- Proven ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, with effective time and task management.
- Project management qualifications such as PMP or PMI-ACP would be an advantage but are not mandatory.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
- Proficiency in Jira, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and general Microsoft Office applications.
