About the role
The role is under the ESG Department and will lead the development and implementation of the company's ESG strategy across all areas.
This role involves collaborating with various departments (Corporate Services, Strategy, Branding & Marketing Communication, Human Resources, Investment, Finance, Risk Management, etc), the ESG team of the parent company, and external consultants to drive sustainable practices of company.
What the role is?
- Develop and execute a comprehensive ESG strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives. Identify key ESG issues and opportunities relevant to the company
- Establish and review the near-term and long-term ESG targets. Track, report and drive transitions to achieve such ESG targets
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external parties and the ESG team of the parent company to develop and prepare sustainability reports
- Support internal and external sustainability communication. This may include the establishment of the ESG Taskforce and/or Committee, ESG awards submission, regulatory disclosure and ESG rating
- Join force with the parent company to promote and build awareness over sustainability among stakeholders through events and programmes; and
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- At least 6 - 8 years’ relevant experience in ESG / corporate sustainability. Experience of ESG from a financial institution’s context will be an advantage
- Understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, disclosure standards and industry best practices
- Strong business acumen to drive sustainability in commercial setting
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good command of English and Chinese
