About The Role
Act as the representative of Finance Department to support the overall testing cycle of new products/system enhancement/production issues and month-end closing activities.In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop subject matter expertise in accounting for insurance transactions within the policy administration system and become a key resource for related queries.
What the role is?
- Perform assigned testing tasks and maintain accurate documentation, including regular progress reporting to the supervisor. Log errors, track outstanding issues, and coordinate internal review processes.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure effective preparation and execution of testing strategies and activities.
- Gain comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end finance reporting solution to support system and process improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations during month-end closing activities.
- Provide support for maintenance activities related to the finance module within the policy administration system.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or accountancy
- Qualified member or student member of HKICPA / other relevant qualification
- 3+ years in big 4 audit or in-house financial reporting area with life insurance industry experience
- Experiences in product UATs is preferred
- Experience of handling policy administration system and accounting ledger system is beneficial
- Proficiency in MS Excel, and general MS Office applications are essential.
- Candidates with more experience will be considered as Assistant Manager
- Strong sense of responsibility, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive in identifying and implementing solutions
- Good team players
- Well organized and able to manage multiple assignments concurrently
- Able to articulate and present arguments and analysis confidently, clearly and concisely
- Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
