What the role is?
- Support the Associate Director of Operational Risk on managing and implementing the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, in particular, ensuring the effective functioning of operational risk management for the Company.
- Support to maintain, enhance, and implement the operational risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and tools to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate operational risks.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to identify potential operational risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators and ensure timely escalation of significant risk issues to Risk Committee.
- Key support for preparing regular reports on operational risk management activities to relevant management committees and Board-level Risk Committee.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure that operational risk management practices are integrated into business processes and decision-making.
- Support the implementation of new operational risk project/ initiatives
- Support to provide training and awareness programs to enhance the understanding and management of operational risks across the organization.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to operational risk management
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Risk Management, Insurance, or Accountancy. Degree or above in other Business-related discipline may also be considered.
- Professional qualifications in accountancy (e.g. HKICPA/ ACCA etc.) or risk management are preferred.
- At least 5 to 6 years of working experience in operational risk management within the insurance industry or consultancy firm.
- Strong knowledge of operational risk management frameworks, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Influencing ability is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills coupled with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to operational risk management.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI will be advantage.
- Strong writing and presentation skills in both English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is preferred.
- The final position level will be determined based on the hiring manager's assessment
